A Nostalgic Throwback
I used to read the “Missed Connections” section on Craigslist for fun back in the day. It was iconic — this little corner of the internet where strangers wrote hope-soaked notes to the person they crossed paths with at a grocery store, a gas station, a bookstore. Romantic, delusional, deeply human. A digital time capsule of almost.
And honestly? Life is full of almosts.
Like those vintage Chanel earrings I should’ve bought the moment I saw them — the ones I still think about. The things we hesitate on, talk ourselves out of, circle around and then walk away from. How many times do we almost speak up and then silence ourselves at the last second? What holds us back — fear, timing, pride, uncertainty?
How many missed connections, missed moments, missed chances have slipped through our fingers because we paused one beat too long?
The “what ifs” will drive you mad if you let them.
How I sleep at night, even when doubt creeps in, is the inner knowing that if it was meant to be, it would’ve been. The right people, the right moments, the right chances — they don’t pass you by. They find a way to stay.
And if someone or something isn’t a vibrational match to your energy, they simply can’t.
But that’s a conversation for another day.
