Magic Vibes

Internal validation and external validation are not the same thing, but a lot of us spend years confusing them.

External validation is temporary. It’s the dopamine hit when your phone lights up. The compliment. The likes on the post. The “good job” from your boss. The text back from the person you secretly handed way too much emotional power to.

Internal validation is different. It’s how you feel about yourself when none of those things are happening.

It’s the voice in your own head when the room gets quiet.

And whether people realize it or not, your outer world often reflects your inner world. The way you carry yourself. The way you allow people to treat you. The energy you bring into a room. The standards you hold. The boundaries you keep. The confidence you radiate. People don’t tell you who you are. You tell them.

Wise words from Blake Lively’s character in GG.

People don’t tell you who you are. You tell them.”
— Serena van der Woodsen (Gossip Girl)

I miss those flip phones! Simpler times.

You give your power away every time your entire mood collapses because someone didn’t text you back. Every time you count likes like they determine your worth. Every time you wait for someone else to finally acknowledge your talent before you allow yourself to believe in it.

At some point, you have to stop waiting to be chosen and start choosing yourself.

And if you don’t like the circumstances in your life: what are YOU going to do about it? No one is coming to save you. Disney sold us fantasies. Hollywood romanticized rescue. Society conditioned people, especially women, to believe salvation arrives in the form of a soulmate, approval, validation, or some external force that finally makes everything okay.

But real growth is personal responsibility.

Not perfection. Responsibility.

Owning your choices. Owning your patterns. Owning the consequences of your actions instead of outsourcing accountability to fate, destiny, or some cosmic scoreboard keeping track of “good” and “bad” people. The only person you truly answer to at the end of the day is yourself. Your conscience. Your integrity. Your reflection in the mirror.

And that reflection? It matters more than public opinion ever will.

Because energy is resonant. Magnetism is real. Confidence is attractive. Self-possession is attractive. People feel when someone knows who they are.

Example:

Someone once asked me if I had put a spell on them because they couldn’t stop thinking about me.

No, not exactly.

My energy was the spell.

And your energy is also a spell. The way you think, speak, carry yourself, love yourself, and move through the world leaves an imprint on people whether you realize it or not.

You are magic in its purest form the moment you stop looking outside yourself for proof of your worth.

Not because you’re perfect. Not because life suddenly becomes easy. But because belief is powerful. Confidence is magnetic. Self-respect changes your posture, your boundaries, your standards, your entire presence.

People can feel when someone is deeply rooted in themselves.

That’s the real glow up.

Not becoming someone else.
Remembering who you were before the world convinced you to doubt yourself.

🪄The power was always yours.
